Andrew is a respected adviser to governments and international organisations on intellectual property law and policy. He has served on advisory councils to the Australian Attorney-General and Minister for Innovation, and has been appointed an Expert Consultant to the World Intellectual Property Organization.

In July 2005, Andrew was listed by the international magazine Managing Intellectual Property as one of the world’s 50 most influential people in intellectual property.
